1. Browse to Facebook and sign in to your account.
2. Click the arrow to the right of the "Home" menu and select "Account Settings" from the drop-down menu.
3. Select the "Security" tab and after that click "Deactivate Your Account."
4. Select "This is short-term, I'll be back" then click "Verify.".
5. Enter your Facebook password and after that click "Deactivate Now." You will be signed out of Facebook and your profile is hidden from everybody on Facebook. Reactivate your account by signing in as normal from the Facebook house page.
