Another Places feature may permit good friends to share your place-- even if you are not presently there and even if you have already handicapped self-check-in. Buddies utilizing Places can check you in or "tag" you at a certain location.

NOTE # - If you're checked-in on your own or by a buddy, your presence at the area shows up to anybody that either you or your pal permits, based upon your pal's and your personal privacy settings.

Your name will appear on the location's Places page, if there is one, so everyone at the place can see that you exist. If you are tagged by a friend, your presence at the place is seen by your friends or whoever they allow to see their posts, based on their (not your) privacy settings.

You should authorize a check-in request, but you are only provided 2 alternatives: "Yes" and "Not Now.".

Once again, there is an easy method to disable this function:.

1. Go to your Facebook account's "Personal privacy Settings.".
2. Click "Tailor settings" in the "Sharing on Facebook" area.
3. Under "Things others share," find the choice "Pals can inspect me into Places.".
4. Select "Disable" from the list of choices. You have now disabled this feature.
